This is a collection of interviews (in French) with Dinu Lipatti at Radio Suisse Romande as well as radio features about Lipatti. Of special interest are statements of Ernest Ansermet and Walter Legge.
During the RSR interviews Lipatti played a choral by Bach and Chopin's Valse Op.34 No.2. The album also contains Mozart’s Sonata in A minor K.310, played in Lipatti’s last concert at Besancon on16 September 1950. In this radio transmission Lipatti’s preluding chords before playing the Sonata have not been cut as in the recent commercial releases by EMI.

Although record producer Walter Legge worked closely with Lipatti and shares many stories in these interviews, some of what Legge wrote in articles and communicates here has been found to be inaccurate based on the research at EMI Archives by Lipatti scholar Mark Ainley, who has published about these falsehoods at http://www.dinulipatti.com/2011/03/prince-of-pianists/ and in various magazines. However, we include these interviews here for their historical interest.
